Amber Beverage agrees distribution deal in Denmark

Luxembourg-based Amber Beverage Group has signed a distribution deal with independent importer AMKA Group in Denmark.

Rooster Rojo Tequila is part of the Amber Beverage Group portfolio

AMKA Group will now look after distribution of Amber Beverage Group’s Rooster Rojo Tequila and gold-filtered sparkling wine Cosmopolitan Diva.

Elena Azhnova, Amber Beverage Group’s go-to-market strategist, said: “Following the growth of these brands in other global markets, we are now poised to accelerate performance in Denmark in partnership with AMKA.

“By 2023, the Tequila category in Denmark will grow by 5.9% and sparkling wines by 3.9%. To use this opportunity to the fullest, we have partnered with an enthusiastic, devoted and committed importer that will put in motion all channels in order to launch our brands.”

Other brands within the Amber Beverage Group portfolio include Cross Keys Gin, Riga Black Balsam herbal liqueur and Moskovskaya Vodka.

Commenting on the new partnership in Denmark, Stine Storgaard Nielsen, AMKA Group head of purchasing, said: “Denmark’s economy is faring well, and consumers are driven towards premiumisation and wellbeing trends. The Danes are buying fewer beverages overall but when they do, they look for high quality and authentic products like Rooster Rojo Tequila.”

Last month, the company announced a new distributor in France – Spirit France Diffusion.

Earlier this year, Amber Beverage Group took total ownership of UK distributor Cellar Trends in an effort to become a “truly global” spirits group.
