Aberfeldy unveils pop-up at Taoyuan Airport

Bacardi Global Travel Retail has partnered with Ever Rich Duty Free to open a pop-up store for Aberfeldy Scotch whisky at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.

The Aberfeldy pop-up store at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport will run until February 2020

The new pop-up has launched ahead of the “region’s key holiday travel time, including Diwali, Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year when gifting is an important purchase motivation”. It will run until the end of February 2020.

Two global travel retail-exclusive expressions will be the focus of the campaign – Aberfeldy 16 Year Old and Aberfeldy 21 Year Old, both finished in ex-Madeira wine casks. Guests can choose to have their bottle dipped in golden wax, and will have the option of adding their initials to the wax.

The 21-year-old whisky will be available in a golden gifting pack. The 16-year-old bottling will be presented in a gold bar gift tin, featuring a design inspired by the Pitilie Burn, the source of water for the distillery.

The pop-up will also feature digital presentations, pyramid display units and a golden waterfall feature to represent the Pitilie Burn.

Gaurav Joshi, regional director Asia Pacific, Bacardi Global Travel Retail, said: “Aberfeldy is the fastest growing single malt in the global travel retail market and we are delighted to partner again with Ever Rich at Taoyuan Airport.

“Taiwan is a truly dynamic market for Aberfeldy and, building on the exceptional success of last year’s airport campaign – delivering triple-digit growth – we have now gone a step further to draw the shopper deeper into the Aberfeldy story, its craft and heritage and our constant commitment to age statements in the sublime quality of the Aberfeldy range.”
