New Coral Room cocktails take English inspiration

London bar The Coral Room has taken inspiration from green spaces and coastlines scattered across England for its latest cocktail menu.

The Spires & Shires was influenced by Worcestershire

Featuring drinks inspired by the Cornish countryside, Oxfordshire and Sussex, each cocktail features local ingredients that have a connection to one of 14 English destinations.

Cocktails on the bar’s latest menu include Play the Pyramid, inspired by Glastonbury Festival and made with Roe & Co Irish Whiskey, 30 & 40 Apéritif de Normandie, ginger, honey, lime juice and Sassy le Cidre Poiré. Drinkers can also be whisked away to Ascot in Berkshire with the Fools & Horses, which combines Martell Blue Swift, Amaro Nonino, Licor 43, vanilla bitters, Fizzix and Perrier-Jouët NV Grand Brut Champagne.

The menu also features the Worcestershire-inspired Spires & Shires, which combines Bulleit Bourbon Whiskey, Amaro Montenegro, crème de cacao and Thomas Henry Coffee Tonic.

Giovanni Spezziga, general manager of The Coral Room, said: “I am delighted to be able to offer a journey across England from the comfort of The Coral Room with our new menu which brings 14 cherished destinations to life with every sip.

“This menu has been a great pleasure to devise and I’m excited to offer guests a country escape in the heart of the capital”.
