Diageo and HBO launch Silicon Valley-inspired Tequila

Johnnie Walker owner Diageo has once again partnered with TV network HBO on the release of Tres Comas Tequila, which was “made” by Silicon Valley character Russ Hanneman.

Tres Comas Tequila was “made” by Silicon Valley character Russ Hanneman

Tres Comas Tequila is said to be “the only Tequila acceptable for billionaires” and was “created” by Hanneman, a fictional character on American comedy series Silicon Valley. Hanneman is portrayed by Canadian actor Chris Diamantopoulos.

“Tres Comas is literally the best Tequila on the market. I drink it, so that’s how you know,” said Hanneman, founder of Tres Comas.

“I love it! I’ll buy a round for everyone! I can do that because I’m a billionaire. I’ll also buy everyone a safe ride home though, can’t let anything happen to my baby. And by my baby, I mean my precious and really expensive sports car.”

Distilled from 100% blue weber agave, Tres Comas Añejo Tequila has aged in American oak barrels for more than a year. The flavour profile is said to have notes of vanilla and spice, and has a rich, toasted oak finish.

Tres Comas Añejo Tequila is available nationally in the US with an RRP of US$44.99.

Diageo previously partnered with HBO to release a series of whiskies inspired by Game of Thrones. The collaboration between the two companies included the release of two limited edition Johnnie Walker bottlings, a range of single malts inspired by the shows different houses and a 15-year-old Mortlach whisky called Six Kingdoms.
