Red Door kicks off limited edition series with winter gin

Benromach Distillery has released a limited edition iteration of its Red Door Highland Gin brand made with winter botanicals.

Red Door Highland Gin was launched by Benromach last summer, marking the Speyside distillery’s entry into the gin market.

Its first limited edition line extension, Red Door Highland Gin with Winter Botanicals, is made with botanicals that “create flavours and aromas of winter”. The festive ingredients include: allspice, blood orange, sultanas and hop blossom.

“As a small, handcrafted gin distillery we have the advantage of being nimble and responsive to new or seasonal flavour trends,” said Lizzie Haw, the brand’s flavour expert.

“This seasonal edition with winter botanicals is the first of our special releases, carefully created to showcase how festive flavours like allspice and sultanas combine with the classic notes from our core gin, such as sea buckthorn.”

Red Door Gin with Winter Botanicals (45% ABV) carries an RRP of £29.99 (approximately US$38.80) and is available to pre-order now. Benromach Distillery is owned by Scotch whisky bottler Gordon & MacPhail, which recently secured planning approval to build a new Speyside distillery.
