Cross Keys Gin adds blackcurrant flavour to range

Luxembourg-based Amber Beverage Group has extended its Cross Keys Gin range with the launch of a blackcurrant-flavoured expression.

Cross Keys Gin Blackcurrant is bottled at 38% ABV

Bottled at 38% ABV, Cross Keys Gin Blackcurrant is said to be a balance between juniper, local herbs and “sun-ripened blackcurrant sweetness”.

“I’m totally in love with this new gin. Yes, it’s another take on the pink gin trend, but to be honest, our Cross Keys is more sophisticated with its deep purple tinge and I’m sure it will bring a great twist to all gin cocktails,” said Maris Kalnins, global brand director of Cross Keys Gin.

“There are three special reasons why this pink gin will steal everyone’s heart: for one, it has a perfect harmony of bitterness and sweetness, layered with a fresh berry aroma on the top. Two, it’s a great example of finest art of distillery handcrafted in small batches. Three, it has a striking pink colour that will attract each bartender’s eye.”

The original Cross Keys Gin launched in July 2018 and is distilled with juniper, rosemary, chamomile and linden blossoms. It comes in a natural black clay container that is said to “enhance the ageing process of gin”.

Cross Keys Gin Blackcurrant will roll out initially in the Baltic States, the UK and travel retail, followed by Australia and Italy. It is priced at £22 (US$27.50) per 700ml bottle.
