Flor de Caña debuts its oldest rum to date
Nicaraguan rum brand Flor de Caña has released its oldest expression to date, a limited edition 30-year-old called V Generaciones.
V Generaciones is limited to 411 bottles
The “one-of-a-kind” rum has been aged in a single barrel since 1988 and was released ahead of the brand’s 130th anniversary in 2020.
V Generaciones celebrates the thousands of workers and five generations of family members behind the brand since 1890.
The bottle design features the signatures of the five generations behind the brand, along with a bottle cap made from volcanic rock and a replica of the 1902 volcano postal stamp of Nicaragua. The bottle is presented in a sleek black leather case.
Available globally from September, V Generaciones is limited to 411 bottles and priced at US$1,200.
In June this year, Flor de Caña named bartender Manacháin Monaghan as the 2019 winner of its UK cocktail competition Rum Frontiers.
