Craftr has launched its online platform with products from ten distilleriesFounded by Michael Stone, Craftr offers a “curated range of craft gin and other spirits” and hopes to become a “community hub for anyone with a passion for craft products”.
Stone said: “Craftr is designed to support the best of the craft spirits movement, both by working closely with the small businesses behind them, and helping the customers select the best products with which to make the most amazing cocktails.”
The online marketplace launches today, listing products from 10 UK distillers including Devon-based Dartmouth Distillery Co, Brindle Distillery in Lancashire and The Surrey Copper Distillery in Cranleigh, Surrey.
Surrey Copper Distillery founder, Dr Chris Smart, said: “Craftr is an exciting prospect that gives lovers of unique, premium craft spirits access to drinks they may not have seen before.”
Earlier this year, research from data analysis firm CGA found that the popularity of ‘craft’ spirits has help to slow the rate of Britain’s bar closures.
