Templeton Rye heads to Australia
American whiskey producer Templeton Rye has expanded its global footprint after signing an exclusive distribution deal with Kollaras and Co in Australia.
Templeton Rye is launching in Australia
Iowa-based Templeton Rye’s move into the Australian market follows the opening of the Templeton Distillery in July 2018.
The distillery features a 34,500-square-foot facility located on 20 acres of land in downtown Templeton.
Part of a US$35 million project, the site also boasts a 55,000 sq ft maturation warehouse, visitor centre and museum.
Shane Fitzharris, Templeton Rye’s executive vice president global sales, commented: “We are delighted to be entering the Australian market for the first time in conjunction with such a strong and distinguished distribution partner as Kollaras and Co.
“It is an exciting time for Templeton and American Whiskey in general. We believe our partnership positions us perfectly to help stimulate category growth in Australia.”
Last year, Templeton Rye signed numerous distribution agreements in Canada as part of its North American expansion plans.
