The Tales of the Cocktail (TOTC) Foundation has appointed Jenny Butler as its chief executive officer and Caroline Rosen as president.

Butler has “played an instrumental role in the development” of the TOTC Foundation since the transition to its current leadership.
In February last year, Gary Solomon Jr of event company The Solomon Group and Neal Bodenheimer of cocktail bar Cure took over the annual cocktail festival and reestablished it as the TOTC Foundation.
Butler played a key role in the Solomon family’s purchase of the trademarks for Tales of the Cocktail, as well as its “successful reintroduction” as the non-profit Tales of the Cocktail Foundation.
As CEO, Butler will be responsible for the “overall operations, continued growth and impact of the foundation as it grows its role as a global leader in spirits”.
Prior to joining TOTC, Butler spent 13 years in the wine industry. She became director of operations for the Business Council of New Orleans, an organisation of 79 CEOs focused on public policy and economic development.
During her time at the council, she met the Solomon family and collaborated on a number of philanthropic projects.
Rosen joined the TOTC Foundation as executive director in early 2018 and has since “helped to shape” the firm’s events and philanthropic programmes, including the Beyond the Bar initiative. The initiative brings free mental health and physical wellness activations to the annual TOTC festival.
She has also helped to implement a grants programme that has committed over US$300,000 of funding for projects designed to educate, advance and support the international spirits community.
As president, Rosen will help to further the foundation’s mission on a global stage and continue to expand its philanthropic footprint.
“We are grateful that both Jenny and Caroline have elected to devote their immense talents and resources to the foundation in this increased capacity,” said Solomon Jr, co-chair of TOTC Foundation’s board of directors.
“These incredibly talented women have been responsible for rapid growth, change and progress for both our organisation and our larger community and it is incredibly rewarding to recognise their efforts and accomplishments.”
