Launching on 22 July, the bar’s new menu, Summer, has been created by Coupette founder Chris Moore in collaboration with local sign writer Ged Palmer.

Filled with “fresh fragrances”, cocktails on Coupette’s Summer menu include Strawberries & Cream, which evokes “the finest bowl of Wimbledon berries” and is made with strawberry eau de vie, rosé vermouth, wine and a vanilla-scented clarified milk punch.

According to the London venue, memory has also inspired cocktails on the new list, including the Shimmer, which is made with 30&40 Eau de Vie, green apple, sage, wine, génépi and sage soda and has been inspired by memories of visiting the ocean while on a summer holiday.

The Summer menu at Coupette also includes the Obsidian, which draws on themes of lava and stone and features flavours of cocoa and passion fruit and is infused with edible clay.

Summer was created in partnership with Palmer, who is known for his typography, calligraphy and sign painting work across London. Upcoming menus at Coupette will see Moore and the bar’s team work with other creatives from Bethnal Green and across London.

Since opening in 2017, calvados and cider-focused Coupette has picked up a host of industry awards, including the title of Best New International Cocktail Bar at the 2018 Spirited Awards at Tales of the Cocktail.
