Trailer Happiness launches ‘pineapple amnesty’

In celebration of World Piña Colada Day (10 July), London bar Trailer Happiness has created a ‘pineapple amnesty’ to offer drinkers money off cocktails.

Trailer Happiness is celebrating World Piña Colada Day with its ‘pineapple amnesty’

On 10 July, visitors to the London bar will be able to trade a fresh pineapple for £2 (US$2.50) off one of its limited edition Piña Coladas.

Gergő Muráth, bar manager at Trailer Happiness, said: “Trailer Happiness prides itself on being the embodiment of good times and escapism so what better way to add some extra sunshine to Londoner’s summers than with pineapples and Piña Coladas.

“Our Pine-amnesty is a fun way to give back to the community who have supported Trailer for over the last 15 years and come together to make us who we are. Head down from World Piña Colada Day and embrace the swap.”

As part of the initiative, drinkers will be able to sample the Piña Colada Slushie, a frozen twist on the classic cocktail; and the Trailer Colada, a “rounded, balanced version” of the tiki classic, for £6 (US$7.50) if they bring a pineapple to the bar.

Trailer Happiness will also hide three golden pineapples around Notting Hill on Piña Colada Day, and anyone who finds one will be entitled to a secret tiki-themed prize once they trade them in at the bar.

last year, Trailer Happiness celebrated its 15th year of operation with the launch of a new menu inspired by escapism.
