Pinkster launches Gin Jam Cocktail Mix sachets
By Melita KielyPink gin brand Pinkster has added a “pour and stir” instant cocktail mix to its range of raspberry-flavoured products: Pinkster Gin Jam Cocktail Mix.
The mix is sold in 20g sachets, which carry a two-year shelf life and will be available to both the on-trade and off-trade.
Pinkster Gin Jam Cocktail Mix has an abv of 2.5% and comes in cartons of 28x20g sachets.
Stephen Marsh, Pinkster managing director, said: “For the last few years, we’ve been recycling the inebriated raspberries left over from making Pinkster as Gin Jam. Bartenders galore started experimenting with it as a fruity cocktail ingredient, which prompted the thought of creating a stand-alone product for ease of use.
“We went back to the drawing board, finessing the recipe for our existing Gin Jam, adding a dash of lemon juice. We’ve certainly hit the sweet spot, as the resulting mix added to a Pinkster G&T makes for an extremely delectable mixed drink.
“For operators of busy bars, it couldn’t be simpler: just pour and stir. Ten seconds at the most.”
Furthermore, the brand has also increased production of Pinkster Royale, its third “natural by-product”, after its 3,000-bottle trial run sold out in 2018.
Raspberry-flavoured Pinkster Royale has no added sugar and was created to “pimp up your Prosecco”, though it can also be sipped neat over ice.
Bottled at 24% abv, Pinkster Royale is available in 350ml bottles, priced at RRP £24 (US$31) each.
In December last year, Pinkster revealed it had raised £1.1 million (US$1.4m) in private finances to increase production and “fully capitalise” on the pink gin boom.
