BenRiach Cask Bottling Batch 16 features 24 whiskies

Speyside distillery BenRiach has bottled 24 single cask Scotch whiskies for Batch 16 of its Cask Bottling series.

BenRiach has launched 24 whiskies as part of its Cask Bottling Batch 16

BenRiach Cask Bottling Batch 16 comprises 16 unpeated and eight peated expressions, each matured in an assortment of cask types. Every whisky has been bottled without chill-filtration or caramel colouring.

A total of 12 casks from this series will be made available in Europe, with the remaining 12 set to launch in Asia Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Dr Rachel Barrie, master blender, said: “Featuring 24 different casks, this release provides a rare opportunity to explore the many facets of BenRiach maturation in one batch, something us whisky makers are lucky to do every day.

“Batch 16 offers the sweet side of Sicilian Marsala wood, smoked plum of the Rioja cask and a dark manuka honey palate of the 30-year-old Tokaji; there is a journey and a story behind each cask bottling to be enjoyed by whisky explorers.”

Prices will range from £55 (US$70) to £595 (US$755) in the UK, but global prices may vary.
