Rooster Rojo appears in action film Avengement
Amber Beverage Group’s Rooster Rojo Tequila has secured its first appearance on the silver screen with a placement in action film Avengement.
Rooster Rojo appears in new revenge action film Avengement
The film tells the story of a criminal, played by English actor and martial arts expert Scott Adkins, who escapes prison to take revenge on those who made him a cold-hearted killer. Rooster Rojo is the drink of choice for the villains who lock horns with Adkins’s character.
Jesse Johnson, the film’s director, said: “To ensure the realistic storyline, we needed an edgy and cool drink that hasn’t been exploited anywhere yet. Rooster Rojo was the right option and the bar scene with a round of the Tequila shots came out very credible.”
Mantas Zlatkus, global brand director for Rooster Rojo, added: “There are a lot of similarities between Scott Adkins and Rooster Rojo as both of them have a very serious attitude towards what they do and how they are doing it.
“Scott is a top-rate martial artist and he has succeeded everything through very hard work, while our Rooster Rojo is an outcome of a time-consuming and careful investment of know-how and distilling skills. To see both of them in one scene is magnificent.”
Avengement will premiere in the US through Samuel Goldwyn Films on 24 May and in the UK on 17 June, followed by Blue-ray and DVD release on 1 July.
Earlier this year, the brand renewed its sponsorship of the J2 Racing team for a second season of the VLN Endurance Championship.
