Rebel Yell calls for entries to UK Bourbon Battle leg
Kentucky Bourbon Rebel Yell is seeking out top UK bartending talent in its Bourbon Battle cocktail competition, entries for which close this weekend.
Rebel Yell is kicking off its search for top bartending talent
Competitors are asked to submit a Rebel Yell-based cocktail recipe that uses no more than seven ingredients and takes no more than seven minutes to make.
Winners will be chosen from three regions (Scotland, north of England and south of England) and will then take part in the national final in London on 17 June.
The national winner will head to Lux Row Distillers in Kentucky, where Rebel Yell is distilled, for the global final on 19 September.
The global winner will have the opportunity to hand-select a Rebel Yell barrel to take home, equivalent to 60 bottles, with master blender and head distiller John Rempe.
“We’re hoping to find a maverick bartender who can champion Rebel Yell serves in the UK – the winner of the Bourbon Battle will be a brave bartender who can break the mould and stand out from the crowd,” said Rempe.
UK entries must be submitted via www.rebelyellbourbonbattle.com by Sunday 12 May.
