By Amy HopkinsThat Boutique-y Gin Company (TBGC) is set to host a multi-sensory event in London this weekend that celebrates the pineapple as a symbol of hospitality.

Marking International Pineapple Day on 1 June, the Pineapple Gin Parlour & Museum will be based at 15 Bateman Street Gallery in Soho.
The museum part of the pop-up has been curated by food historian Tasha Marks and includes features such as scratch and sniff wallpaper.
“We are on a mission to reinstate the pineapple as the ultimate symbol of decadence and hospitality,” said Jennifer Gosh, global brand manager at TBGC.
“What better way to do that than to invite guests into our own Pineapple Parlour and London’s first Pineapple Museum on International Pineapple Day. Pineapple Gin first appeared in the Victorian era and we’ve curated our museum with Tasha Marks to regale those stories and celebrate this historic recipe.”
Guests can also enjoy unlimited cheese and pineapple snacks, as well as a menu of cocktails that showcases TBGC’s Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin. Visitors can use the code word ‘mule’ to receive a free Pineapple Mule.
TBGC Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin, made with fresh pineapples coated in Demerara sugar, will be available to purchase in-store at the Pineapple Parlour.
Brand ambassador Gareth Waughington will lead six pineapple cocktail masterclasses throughout the weekend to educate guests about the history of the fruit, from the 1400s to its present day use in drinks.
An integrated campaign spanning digital, social and experiential channels will launch alongside the event.
The pop-up will be open from 31 May to 3 June, from 6pm till late on Friday and 12pm till late on Saturday-Monday.
