Vinexpo names new CEO

International wine and spirits trade show Vinexpo has appointed Rodolphe Lameyse as its new CEO following the departure of Guillaume Deglise.

Rodolphe Lameyse is the new CEO of Vinexpo

Deglise stepped down from the role at the end of the Vinexpo Hong Kong show in May last year. He is now CEO of Burgundy producer Domaines Albert Bichot.

Based in Sinagpore since 2014, Lameyse most recently managed Informa Group’s Food & Hotel Asia portfolio, Asia’s largest trade show dedicated to the food, beverage and hotel equipment industry.

Before this, he worked as a consultant in the exhibitions industry, and as head of marketing and client services at Reed Midem in France.

According to Christophe Navarre, president of Vinexpo: “The expertise and the understanding of key markets of Rodolphe Lameyse will enable The Vinexpo Group to increase its development and boost market shares.”

Lameyse added: “Vinexpo has grown thanks to the quality of the offer available at each of its shows, the relevance of its content and the return on investment it generates.

“We’ll continue to expand Vinexpo shows together, in France and internationally, and provide our customers with solutions, in order to cement our role as the global leader for all players in the international wine and spirits sector.”

Vinexpo’s flagship event in Bordeaux, France will take place on 13-16 May at the Bordeaux Exhibition Centre. The show will offer four days of exhibitions, educational sessions and networking opportunities, including a dedicated conference on climate change on 14 May.
