The Balvenie teams up with US designer Billy Reid

William Grant & Sons-owned Scotch whisky The Balvenie has partnered with American designer Billy Reid to host events that highlight craftsmanship in whisky and fashion.

US designer Billy Reid has partnered with The Balvenie to host in-store events

The Balvenie will showcase its 12-year-old DoubleWood expression and Caribbean Cask Aged 14 Years bottling at Reid’s 12 retail locations across the US, including Atlanta, Austin, Chicago and Nashville.

Reid said: “The Balvenie brings a like-minded outlook of quality and a shared passion for craftsmanship and the art of making.

“Both our brands have created exceptional relationships with wonderful people around the world. We have already planned new levels of hospitality for our clients and have begun the process on developing a host of special new experiences within our stores and our Shindig events, all based on our shared commitment to craft.”

Reid will also host a series of in-store events in partnership with Balvenie ambassadors that feature whisky tastings and workshops discussing the history of the brand.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Billy Reid for a series of experiences that will celebrate what we as a brand hold in such high regard – craftsmanship and the craftspeople who create across industries,” said The Balvenie brand director Greg Levine.

“The Balvenie’s handcrafted ethos starts from within the distillery with the work that goes into every bottle, and we strive to collaborate with like-minded individuals who are committed to the same level of workmanship. To that end, we’ve found a great partner in Billy Reid.”

The partnership will also showcase Reid’s personal appreciation for music and arts with the addition of local musicians at each event.

The Balvenie will also sponsor Reid’s Shindig festival this August as well as events taking place in Walland, Tennessee. At these events, The Balvenie ambassadors will lead tastings of a diverse range of cask-finished whiskies.
