In his new role, Teubner will direct and lead all national sales, brand strategy and marketing for Ghost Tequila.
With a career in the alcohol industry spanning more than 25 years, Teubner most recently held the role of vice president of US sales for Tequila Casa Dragones. During his tenure, sales of Casa Dragones doubled and its distribution footprint “significantly expanded”.
Prior to Casa Dragones, Teubner worked at Joseph E Seagram & Sons, Coors Brewing Company and the Patrón Spirits Company.
“As bartender and consumer excitement for Ghost continues to grow, bringing Andy on-board reinforces our commitment to establishing a truly world-class spirit,” said Chris Moran, Ghost’s CEO and co-founder.
“His experience, leadership, and industry acumen will be an immeasurable asset as we build this industry-changing brand.”
Ghost Tequila has witnessed “rapid success” since it launched two years ago. The “spicy” 100% agave Tequila is widely available across New England, southern and western US states. The company has plans for “aggressive expansion soon into several new markets”.
“I’m incredibly excited to take on the challenge of leading Ghost,” said Teubner. “This is a brand that’s perfectly positioned to capture the growing market for spicy Margaritas and other spicy cocktails, and is already showing above-average re-order rates.
“I’m looking forward to working with Ghost’s founders Chris Moran and David Gordon to build a successful Ghost team and instil a great company culture, and of course win in the trade.”
