Brighton Gin unveils navy-strength expression
By Melita KielySeaside-based Brighton Gin has added a navy-strength variant to its portfolio, made with four times more juniper compared to the original bottling.
Brighton Gin Seaside Strength Navy Gin is bottled at 57% abv
Brighton Gin Seaside Strength Navy Gin is the result of 12 months of recipe experimentation and is made with double the quantity of fresh orange and lime peel than the original gin.
Bottled at 57% abv, Seaside Strength Navy Gin is available to purchase in 700ml and 350ml bottles, and will be distributed by Love Drinks in the UK. The gin will retail for RRP £47 (US$61) per 700ml bottle and £27 (US$35) per 350ml.
Kathy Caton, Brighton Gin founder and managing director, said: “We’ve used our classic original Brighton Gin botanicals but riffed with the recipe and the process to create a fantastic sipping gin that also makes a world-class gin and tonic.
“Juniper is the star attraction but there is a cascade of zesty citrus on the nose with hints of candied orange, a whisper of pine and spice too. It’s rich and creamy in the mouth and deliciously satisfying when swallowed, with no hint of burn. The waves of citrus go on forever, backed by an exhilarating underlying seaside freshness.”
In June last year, Brighton Gin released a range of eight colourful bottle designs to celebrate Brighton Pride and also donated part of the proceeds to charity.
