Artesian unveils minimalist cocktail menu

Award-winning bar Artesian at The Langham hotel in London has launched a new minimalist cocktail menu that combines just two ingredients per drink.

The latest cocktail menu from the acclaimed Artesian bar puts an emphasis on simplicity

Available from today (23 April), the new menu is focussed on the phrase ‘less is more’ and features 22 cocktails developed over eight months.

Head bartender Remy Savage and bar manager Anna Sebastian, who both joined the five-star hotel bar in October 2017, have created the new collection of cocktails together.

The drinks list follows the launch of the duo’s Artesian Moments menu in 2018 and Cause, Effect & Classic Cocktails in December 2017.

The bar team has worked together to pair “thoughtfully-sourced” spirits with one other key ingredient or flavour. A number of the ingredients have been made in-house using “rare and unusual elements” from around the world.

Showcasing the “versatility” of a range of spirits and ingredients, the new menu features “unconventional pairings” such as Star of Bombay Gin and golden beetroot, thai basil Ketel One Vodka and melon liqueur, and St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur with red carrot.

The minimalist movement has also inspired the design of the menu, which “plays with the idea of perception and dimensions”. A wooden mechanism uses movement to suggest the simplicity of drinks, along with “playful and interactive” techniques.
