Monin creates reduced-sugar range for calorie conscious drinkers

Cocktail syrup producer Monin has responded to healthful drinking trends with the launch of lower-sugar iterations of three staple flavours.

Monin’s new reduced sugar Strawberry, Passion Fruit and Pink Grapefruit recipes have three calories per 15ml, lowering the calorific content of the drinks they are used in by up to 80 calories.

“The launch of Monin’s reduced sugar range is the next natural step for the brand as we continue to support our customers with innovation that reflects the current market trends,” said Lee Hyde, beverage innovation manager at Monin UK.

“The new range allows drink development teams to create an inspiring menu which responds to consumer demand, whether it’s using popular summer flavour – Strawberry – or a more tropical option such as Passion Fruit.”

Monin’s reduced sugar range is free from artificial flavouring, is suitable for vegans and is allergen free.
