English countryside inspires new Bombay Sapphire gin
Bombay Sapphire has kicked off a new limited edition range with the launch of a gin inspired by summertime in the English countryside.
English Estate is the first release in a new limited edition line from Bombay Sapphire
Available for a limited time only from next month, Bombay Sapphire English Estate draws inspiration from the surroundings of the brand’s Laverstoke Mill distillery in Hampshire, UK.
Master distiller Anne Brock and master of botanicals Ivano Tonutti teamed up to create the gin, which adds three new botanicals to Bombay Sapphire’s core recipe: pennyroyal mint, rosehip and toasted hazelnut.
“I am lucky enough to travel the world to source only the finest botanicals to infuse into our heritage gins. However, some of the best ingredients are found right on our doorstep, gathered from the great English countryside,” said Tonutti.
“These new botanical additions within Bombay Sapphire English Estate have been carefully chosen to complement the existing formula of Bombay Sapphire, resulting in a unique flavour profile, so gin lovers can enjoy a taste of English summertime.”
Bombay Sapphire English Estate features a summer-inspired design and has an RRP of £23 (US$30). The launch will be followed by a number of other limited editions “in the coming years”.
The brand’s most recent permanent line extension was launched in 2015: Bombay Sapphire Star of Bombay.
