Bitter Truth launches pineapple-flavoured rum
Liqueurs, bitters and spirits producer The Bitter Truth has added Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum to its eclectic portfolio.
The Bitter Truth has launched Tiki Lovers Pineapple RumTiki Lovers Pineapple Rum is a blend of aged and unaged Jamaican pot still rum, three-year-old Barbados rum that has been aged in ex-Bourbon whiskey barrels, and some young column still rums from Trinidad and Guyana.
The rum blend is then infused with an “all-natural” pineapple extract from South America and allowed to rest for several weeks.
Bottled at 45% abv, Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum is recommended mixed in “all tropical drinks”, or simply with ginger beer and ice.
Samantha Burke, managing director of UK spirits distributor Love Drinks, said: “Following the huge success of [The Bitter Truth’s] pink gin last year, we expect the unique Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum to make a similar sort of splash this summer as the weather heats up and the ‘tiki season’ begins in earnest.”
