UK nightclub operator to create apps for venues

The Deltic Group, the UK’s largest operator of late-night bars and nightclubs, has partnered with leading mobile ticketing provider Corethree to create bespoke apps for each of the company’s brands.

As part of the collaboration, Corethree will develop mobile apps for each of the group’s individual brands to “drive loyalty, increase sales and venue efficiencies”. It will also enable better ID control through ‘smart’ tickets.

Deltic owns 55 clubs and bars across the UK, with brands such as Pryzm nightclubs, food and clubbing chain Bar & Beyond, and multi-dance room Atik clubs.

The entertainment operator has been successful in implementing personalised marketing but is now aiming to build on its expertise with mobile apps that offer data-driven services and bespoke promotions.

The new apps will enable remote ticket purchasing and faster, easier entrance to Deltic’s venues and ID confirmation. It will also provide an additional user engagement channel to provide data insights that can be used to push marketing initiatives.

“Mobile marketing is a valuable channel for connecting to our customers in a direct yet more personalised way,” said Tim Howard, marketing director, The Deltic Group.

“We needed to partner with a mobile technology provider that would not only deliver bespoke apps for every brand, but more importantly provide a powerful back-end infrastructure to help us deliver the best customer engagement across our brand portfolio.

“Our new Corethree-developed apps will be underpinned by established technology capable of tying each customer and their preferences back to our individual brands and their venues, helping Deltic to become a more granular data-driven business.”
