Tito’s grows presence in Irish travel retail

Texas-based Tito’s Handmade Vodka has expanded its partnership with duty free operator Aer Rianta International (ARI) to launch in Dublin and Cork airports.

Tito’s Handmade Vodka will now be available in Dublin and Cork airports

The agreement will see Tito’s stocked in travel retail stores in the two airports, with the launch supported by high-visibility activations in the spring.

ARI global buying manager, liquor and tobacco, Shane O’Sullivan, said: “Dublin Airport accounts for over 80% of flights to Ireland and is therefore an extremely important shop window for visitors.

“There are 30 million passengers using the airport per year and we look forward to offering Tito’s to existing fans and introducing it to new buyers, whilst bringing its American craft story to life in store.”

The American vodka brand has been available in Irish duty free at Shannon Airport since 2016.

Tito’s managing director international, John McDonnell, said: “We are delighted to see that the Irish market is embracing Tito’s and that ARI is taking advantage of the opportunity, not only meeting demand from the high number of American tourists, but also other travellers from around the world who love the brand and its craft credentials.”

The travel retail expansion is part of the brand’s attempts to grow its presence in Ireland, where it is currently stocked in more than 900 locations.

The Texas-based brand recently announced it had agreed a new deal with German distributor Hardenberg-Wilthen.
