Southern Glazer’s appoints Illinois general market VP
US drinks distribution company Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has appointed John Acott to the role of vice president – general market of Illinois.
John Acott is Southern Glazer’s new vice president – general market of Illinois
In his new role, Acott will manage sales for the Chicagoland wine and spirits general market. He will report directly to the company’s vice president of sales for Illinois, Mike Housey.
Acott has worked at Southern Glazer’s for the last five years as vice president and general manager of Minnesota.
Scott Westerman, executive vice president and general manager of Southern Glazer’s north central sub region, will take over Acott’s responsibilities temporarily until the position is filled.
Prior to joining Southern Glazer’s, Acott worked as vice president of Retail Wine in Illinois for 11 years, where he led five sales divisions and developed strong supplier and retailer relationships with the firm’s largest wine partners.
