Cab-ron rum expands Europe presence

Qantima Group will soon begin distributing Cab-ron rum in Italy, Romania and Albania, following the brand’s success in The Rum & Cachaça Masters.

The rum is currently available in Spain, Andorra, Portugal and Germany. It debuted at Bar Convent Berlin in October 2023.

It was awarded Gold in the Gold Rum – Aged 8 to 12 Years flight of The Rum & Cachaça Masters 2024. and was praised for its ‘honey, vanilla and tropical notes’.

The Rum & Cachaça Masters is judged blind by a panel of spirits experts, including Melita Kiely, editor of The Spirits Business and chair of The Global Spirits Masters Competitions (GSMC).

The expression is the brand’s flagship rum, which is aged in ex-oloroso Sherry, ex-Bourbon and ex-Pedro Ximénez oak barrels.

Cab-ron blends rum from the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Guatemala and Barbados, and ages it in the Bodegas-Catedrales de Jerez in Spain.

Manuel Villa, CEO of Qantima Group, said: “The result of this award is the result of the work and confidence of our team in product excellence.”

Qantima also distributes El Dorado rum, Alkkemist Gin, Scotch whisky brand Compass Box, Irish whiskey Waterford and more.
