Amber Beverage eyes global growth with new exec position

Moskovskaya vodka producer Amber Beverage Group (ABG) has appointed Charles Henagan to the newly created role of managing director, Americas.

Charles Henagan joins ABG with more than 20 years of experience in the drinks trade

Henagan has more than 20 years of international commercial experience in executive roles at firms including Diageo, Edrington and Illva Saronno.

In his new position, Henagan will oversee ABG’s business in Canada, Mexico and the US, and will seek “new opportunities” in Latin American markets such as Panama, Argentina and Colombia through the implementation of a new growth strategy.

Henagan has been working with ABG in a consulting position since June 2018, focusing on issues related to the US and Mexico.

In December, Luxembourg-based ABG named Walter Kooijman its managing director of Europe, Middle East, India, Africa (EMEIA) and global travel retail – a newly created role.

The firm’s CEO, Seymour Ferreira, recently revealed he is aiming to triple the revenue of ABG over the next four years, enabling it to become a €1 billion (US$1.14bn) company.
