ELLC launches Borough Market Gin

London’s Borough Market has teamed up with East London Liquor Company (ELLC) to release a limited edition gin.

There are just 1,000 bottles of Borough Market Gin available

Borough Market Gin is limited to 1,000 bottles and has a “distinctive herbaceous and savoury profile”.

To create the gin, ELLC took inspiration from a typical English herb garden.

Distilled from 100% British wheat spirit, the gin is infused with juniper berries, coriander seeds, orris root, angelica root, lemon peel, thyme, winter savoury, fennel seeds, sage, bay leaf and lavender.

Alex Wolpert, ELLC founder, said: “For the past three years we’ve found our second home at Borough Market, surrounded by enthusiastic neighbours as equally passionate about the quality and provenance of local food and drink as we are.

“The release of Borough Market Gin is a celebration of our ongoing commitment to the good things in life.”

Borough Market Gin is available to buy from Borough Market’s Information Office at an RRP of £32.99 (US$42.10).

Darren Henaghan, managing director of Southwark-based Borough Market, said: “Borough Market has long been home to an incredible range of traders who are committed to providing the best quality food and drink.

“We are very excited about this collaboration with East London Liquor Company to release our first Borough Market Gin. It’s a great way to celebrate the fantastic produce from one-off traders, as well as reflecting the wonderful aromas and flavours that can be found at the market.”
