Connaught Bar celebrates 10 years with new gin

The Connaught Bar in London is marking its 10th anniversary with the release of a gin “inspired by a decade of cocktail craftsmanship”.

Revered Martini bar The Connaught has released its own gin

The Connaught Bar Gin, which has been created in-house, uses a classic London gin recipe as its base.

Botanicals include juniper berries, coriander seeds, liquorice, angelica root and orris root. It also features Amalfi lemon, which usually garnishes a Martini from the bar, and Bordeaux red wine.

A 1920s cocktail shaker inspired the design of the bottle, along with the Cubist interiors of The Connaught Bar. The Mayfair bar is known for its Martinis and was designed by David Collins Studio.

The Connaught Bar Gin can be enjoyed shaken, stirred and neat or on the rocks.

Agostino Perrone, head of mixology at The Connaught, said: “The Connaught Bar Gin has truly been a labour of love and an unforgettable experience.

“When we first sat down to discuss producing a one-of-a-kind spirit, our main effort was to put together all the essences that we believe encapsulates the bar to create an exceptional gin.

“We hope The Connaught Bar Gin celebrates the creativity we’ve been injecting since we opened 10 years ago!”

The Connaught Bar Gin is priced at £95 (US$120) and available for purchase online and at The Connaught Bar in Mayfair.
