The Botanist launches immersive winter pop-up

Scottish gin brand The Botanist is preparing to launch a pop-up in London that aims to transport imbibers to the brand’s Islay home.

The Botanist will open its Frozen Foraged Garden in London

Taking over Broadgate in London on 29 November, The Botanist Frozen Foraged Garden is said to be a winter wonderland for imbibers to explore.

The space will feature a floral ice-walled bar, swinging chairs and a metre-high The Botanist bottle carved out of ice, which visitors can chip away at to chill their drinks.

The Botanist has also created a number of ice cubes infused with botanicals that will be used as garnishes for signature serves, such as a gorse-infused ice cube that is said to bring out the taste of coconut in a classic Botanist and tonic.

Inside the “winter wilderness”, guests will be able to sample a number of innovative gin cocktails, such as The Botanist Bramble, which combines The Botanist Gin, lemon, honey water, Aelder Wild Elderberry Elixir and rosemary, and The Botanist Mulled Gin, made with The Botanist gin, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and apple juice.

The Botanist Frozen Foraged Garden will open at Finsbury Avenue Square on 29 and 30 November 2018, cocktails will be priced at £6.50 (US$8.40).

Earlier this year, The Botanist owner Bruichladdich acquired a 30-acre plot of land to develop its sustainable farming practices.
