Suerte adds extra añejo Tequila to range
By Owen BellwoodSmall-batch Tequila maker Suerte has unveiled an eight-year-old extra añejo bottling called Lucky Lips.
Lucky Lips has aged for eight years in charred American Oak casks
Lucky Lips is the Tequila brand’s latest release in its series of extra añejo expressions that have been aged for a year longer than its core bottlings.
Laurence Spiewak, Suerte co-founder, said: “As an independent craft Tequila, we have the luxury to create Suerte in the manner that we believe makes the best product.
“Our master distiller uses traditional methods, 100% blue weber agave and pure spring water from Atotonilco el Alto in the highlands of Jalisco. Lucky Lips is a patient reflection of the love and care that we put into our Tequila.”
Lucky Lips has aged in charred American white oak barrels, said to have given the Tequila a “strong oak presence, hints of vanilla, cinnamon, honey, and date”.
Bottled at 40% abv, the extra añejo Tequila carries an RRP of US$109.99 and is available from select specialist retailers across 24 US states.
