Former Diageo exec joins Edrington-Beam Suntory

UK drinks distributor Edrington-Beam Suntory has appointed former Diageo executive Nick Temperley as its new general manager for London.

Edrington-Beam Suntory has named Nick Temperley its general manager for London

Temperley previously worked as head of Reserve brands for Diageo, where he was responsible for the performance and equity of Diageo’s premium spirits portfolio in Great Britain and Ireland.

He also held roles as Diageo’s investor relations director and in innovation and commercial finance manager roles, after beginning his career at the Ford Motor Company.

Mark Riley, managing director of Edrington-Beam Suntory UK, said: “Nick joins Edrington-Beam Suntory UK at an exciting time in our development. Our key city strategy has already driven substantial growth in London.

“With his leadership and proven track record of building and launching brands into the premium category, we believe there is immense unrealised potential.”

In his new role with Edrington-Beam Suntory, Temperley will join the UK executive team and take responsibility for the running of London operations across specialist, luxury and on-trade accounts, as well as wholesale, cash-and-carry and convenience.

Temperley said: “I can’t wait to get started at Edrington-Beam Suntory UK. It’s home to so many leading premium brands and the team has built a formidable presence in the market already, so there are strong foundations to build on.

“I look forward to working with the team to unlock the next phase of growth in one of the most vibrant premium spirits markets in the world.”
