Dunnet Bay Distillery heads stateside

The UK’s most northerly mainland distillery, Dunnet Bay, has made its US debut after agreeing a distribution deal with Vision Wines & Spirits.

Dunnet Bay Distillers will distribute its products in the US through Vision Wines & Spirits

Dunnet Bay Distillery, producer of Rock Rose Gin, will launch its original and navy strength expressions in the US as a result of the agreement.

Rock Rose Original, bottled at 41.5% abv is made using 18 locally-foraged botanicals, including rowan berries and sea buckthorn.

Rock Rose Navy Strength, bottled at 57% abv, is said to have a taste profile that is “flavourful, fresh and zesty”.

Both gins are distilled in a traditional copper pot still, named Elizabeth, before being individually signed, numbered and wax sealed.

Vision Wine & Spirits is the seventh largest wine and spirits distributor in the US, and currently distributes products from Gordon & MacPhail and Isle of Raasay Distillers across the country.

Earlier this year, Dunnet Bay Distillers announced it had partnered with local conservationists to replenish stocks of wild juniper at Dunnet Head in Scotland.
