Borco takes on Xellent vodka and gin distribution

Family-owned spirits company Borco has added Xellent Swiss Vodka and Xellent Swiss Edelweiss Gin to its distribution portfolio.

Borco has taken on distribution of Xellent Swiss Vodka and Xellent Swiss Edelweiss Gin

Having agreed a partnership with Xellent’s parent company, Diwisa Distillerie Willisau, Borco will look after the global distribution of both products, excluding Germany, Austria and Sweden.

Xellent Swiss Vodka is triple-distilled before being bottled at 40% abv. It is said to have notes of cherry, nuts and a slight rye aroma on the nose, with flavours of nutty rye and boiled cherries on the palate.

Xellent Swiss Edelweiss Gin has been inspired by herbs and plants from the company’s own garden, and is made with botanicals including juniper, lemon balm, edelweiss, woodruff and lavender.

Bottled at 40% abv, the nose is described as being full of citrus and floral aromas, with a touch of lemon balm and spice on the palate.

Dr Tina Ingwersen-Matthiesen, family member and member of the Borco board, said: “Both Xellent Swiss Vodka and Xellent Edelweiss Gin have ben awarded internationally and embody Swiss craftsmanship and precision.

“We are thrilled to make Xellent’s flavour profile accessible all over the world with the help of a strong network and thank Diwisa for their trust.”
