Barrell Craft Spirits unveils new bottlings
Kentucky-based Barrell Craft Spirits has launched three new limited edition expressions, including a 25-year-old American whiskey finished in Sercial Madeira barrels.
Barrell Craft Spirits adds a whiskey, Bourbon and rum to its range
Based in Louisville, Barrell Craft Spirits has added Barrell Craft Spirits Bourbon, Barrell Craft Spirits Whiskey and Barrell Craft Spirits Rum to its portfolio.
Barrell Craft Spirits Bourbon is described as a “complex” blend of 15-year-old straight Bourbon whiskeys.
Barrell Craft Spirits Whiskey is a 25-year-old American whiskey finished in Sercial Madeira barrels. The barrels are said to add an “underlying nuttiness” to the expression.
The final expression is a blend of 13 to 21-year-old vintage rums from Barbados, Jamaica and Guyana. The casks used for the rum were on an Atlantic voyage that lasted for almost a year.
Founder Joe Beatrice said: “After three years in the works, I am thrilled to release our Barrell Craft Spirits line.
“Our intent was to blend a set of spirits – each defined by perfect and absolute balance, with deep flavour layering.
“The barrels harvested for these special releases were individually selected for their refined properties and unique flavour profile.
“We bottled at cask strength so that you can experience the depth of character and their extraordinary flavours.”
