Altia names new CFO

State-run Finnish drinks group Altia has appointed Niklas Nylander as its new chief financial officer following the resignation of Matti Piri.

Niklas Nylander will join Altia on 1 January 2019

Former CFO at real estate investment group Sponda, Niklas Nylander will join Altia as CFO and member of its executive team on 1 January 2019.

Previously, Nylander occupied a number of leading finance positions within Finnish pharmacy chain Tamro Group.

Pekka Tennilä, Altia CEO, said: “Niklas has extensive experience from Nordic businesses and a solid track record of leading finance operations successfully. He has also valuable experience from a CFO position at a stock exchange listed company as well as from corporate transactions. I am happy to welcome Niklas to join the Altia team.”

Nylander added: “Altia is a leading Nordic alcoholic beverage company and is now in a new, interesting phase. I am looking forward to joining Altia and to working closely with the business to support the growth of Altia’s iconic Nordic brands.”

Matti Piri, who helped lead Altia’s stock market launch, announced his resignation in August.
