Writers’ Tears to sponsor WhiskyCast podcast
Walsh Whiskey has signed a year-long sponsorship deal with whisky podcast WhiskyCast for its Writers’ Tears brand.
Writers’ Tears now sponsors the ‘Behind the Label’ segment of the WhiskyCast podcast
Under the deal, Irish whiskey Writers’ Tears Copper Pot will feature in promotional spaces on WhiskyCast.com and in every episode of the WhiskyCast podcast for the next year.
Bernard Walsh, founder and managing director of Walsh Whiskey, said: “WhiskyCast is a wonderful platform for us to increase awareness of Writers’ Tears Copper Pot to a highly knowledgeable and influential audience.
“WhiskyCast is not only a great podcast, it has a significant listenership of real whiskey enthusiasts who are very active in both their interest in and pursuit of premium whiskeys.”
As part of the deal, Writers’ Tears has created a range of adverts that will feature in episodes of WhiskyCast. The adverts feature six different stings across two themes, including ‘What’s Rare is Wonderful’ and ‘Do You Dare to be Creative?’
The stings will appear before the ‘Behind The Label’ section of the podcast, which has a special focus on the history and the science behind whisk(e)y.
Christina Philburn, managing director of CaskStrength Media, producer of WhiskyCast, said: “Our listeners are thrilled to have Writer’s Tears Copper Pot on board with WhiskyCast. Irish whiskey continues to grow in global popularity, and Walsh Whiskey offers consumers well-crafted and thoughtfully cultivated Irish whiskeys.
“Writer’s Tears Copper Pot allows us to bring an additional educational element to the podcast in the ‘Behind the Label’ segment.”
Earlier this year the Irish whiskey brand launched its 2018 cask strength expression, which is a blend of single pot still and single malt Irish whiskey.
