Woodford Reserve adds two Bourbons to Master’s Collection
By Nicola CarruthersBrown-Forman-owned Woodford Reserve has added two new Bourbons to its Master’s Collection – American Select Oak and Oat Grain Kentucky.
Woodford Reserve American Select Oak and Oat Grain Kentucky have joined the Master’s Collection
Woodford Reserve Select American Oak Bourbon has been matured in ozark oak, said to have fast-growing characteristics.
It is described as having a “distinct nutty and sweet aromatic character of warm baked goods”.
Woodford Reserve Oat Grain Kentucky Bourbon includes oat in the grain recipe, while minimising the rye content.
The addition of oat into the pot-still gives the Bourbon the “traditional flavours of grain found in Irish whiskeys”.
To celebrate the new expressions, Woodford Reserve is partnering with American fashion brand Polo Ralph Lauren, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Polo customers will receive an exclusive first taste of the two Bourbons during a private event at the company’s flagship men’s store on Madison Avenue in New York City with master distiller Chris Morris.
The Master’s Collection was introduced in 2006 and consists of “innovative products”.
Both products have an RRP of US$129.99. Woodford Reserve Oat Grain Bourbon will be available in the US only, while American Select Oak will be available internationally and in select US markets.
