Gary Regan launches global bartender database

Noted bartender and author Gary Regan has launched a new online portal for bartenders and spirit producers, devoted “to all matters across the bar”.

Regan has teamed up with spirits industry consultant and blogger Arthur Shapiro to launch The Worldwide Bartender Database.

The portal aims to provide bartenders with “education, career enhancement, competitions and the opportunity to work with brands”.

The service will provide brand owners with a range of consulting services centered on the idea of ‘if you want to know how a bartender thinks and acts, ask us’.

The database will also provide bartenders with the opportunity to work with Regan and Shapiro to enhance their bartending skills, participate in bartender contests and promotions, bartending assignments and brand ambassador positions around the world.

“Just as the name Worldwide Bartender Database suggests, we see the site as geared to the folks behind the stick who understand the business from a unique vantage point,” said Regan. “We intend to harness their knowledge and insights to help brand owners in a range of areas.”

Shapiro said: “The Worldwide Bartender Database is a new concept in spirits marketing and brand building.
