Carthy & Black liqueurs gain M&S and Morrisons listings
By Nicola CarruthersYorkshire-based drinks producer Intercontinental Brands has secured listings in UK retailers Marks & Spencer and Morrisons for its cream liqueur brand Carthy & Black.
Carthy & Black gin cream liqueurs are made in Yorkshire
The collection of cream liqueurs includes a “velvety” whisky variety and two gin-based cream liqueurs – a “refreshing” ‘original’ version and a lemon gin cream, inspired by Bettys Tea Room’s lemon and lime cake.
Carthy & Black Lemon Gin Cream Liqueur will be available in select Morrisons supermarkets across Yorkshire. Carthy & Black Original Cream Liqueur will also be sold in select Marks & Spencer stores across the region.
The liqueur brand, which launched in April last year, is currently available in Tesco stores across the UK.
The range is made using Slingsby Gin, a locally-made gin produced by Intercontinental Brand’s sister company Spirit of Harrogate.
Bottled at 17% abv, each liqueur contains fresh cream from Paynes Dairies in Boroughbridge, Yorkshire.
Mike Carthy, co-founder and joint managing director of Spirit of Harrogate, said: “We’re delighted to gain more presence in the retail sector, to meet the growing demand for alternative products such as Carthy & Black. We want to be as accessible as possible for our consumers”.
