Southern Glazer’s to distribute cannabis-infused Nirvana spirits

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has been appointed the distributor for cannabis-infused spirits brand Nirvana in Florida.

Produced by Florida-based distillery Fat Dog Spirits, Nirvana Vodka and Gin is now available at retail and liquor stores across the state through Southern Glazer’s.

Nirvana Vodka is infused with hemp hearts from the hemp plant cannabis sativa. It is recommended served in a Martini, in a Gimlet or on the rocks.

Nirvana Gin is recommended served in a Gin Martini or in a gin and tonic.

“We are excited to partner with Southern to bring our fine and unique product to the Florida market,” said Ron Bartholomew, president of Fat Dog Spirits.

“It is a phenomenal opportunity to partner with the No.1 distributor in the world. Besides, we had a tremendous Nirvana (soft) launch on 4 April for our team and investors and we’d like to keep the momentum going.

“With our Nirvana brand products, our crossover is widespread, from millennials to baby-boomers.”

Nirvana Vodka and Gin has an RRP of US$24.99 for 750ml bottles.

The distillery, based in Ybor City, also produces Touch Vodka, gin and moonshine brands.

In May this year, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits became the first drinks distribution company to move into the cannabis industry in Canada.

The firm has created a subsidiary exclusively for the representation of cannabis products in Canada.
