Gebr Heinemann reveals sales restructure

Gebr Heinemann executive director of distribution Peter Irion will leave the company as a result of a restructure that will consolidate retail and distribution within one sales division.

Peter Irion has mutually agreed to leave Gebr Heinemann following the restructure

The travel retail company has decided to combine its distribution and retail arms “under a comprehensive management among the executive board”.

In a statement, the company said: “As part of this, it was decided in mutual agreement to end the cooperation with executive director Peter Irion with immediate effect.”

Gebr Heinemann said the restructure came about following an “intensive analytical process”.

The directors of the distribution departments will report to executive director Raoul Spanger. Details will be finalised and elaborated on by the end of 2018 before the strategy is implemented “step by step”.

The statement concluded: “The entire executive board and the owners Claus and Gunnar Heinemann explicitly would like to thank Mr Irion for over eight years of successful and formative work as executive director of distribution and wish him all the best for his future.”
