Freddie Noe releases Little Book Chapter 2
Eighth generation Beam distiller Freddie Noe has unveiled the second expression in his annual blended whiskey series, called Little Book Chapter 2: Noe Simple Task.
Noe Simple Task is the second expression in the Little Book series
The limited edition blend comprises: 13-year-old Canadian rye whisky (55.95% abv); eight-year-old Kentucky straight rye whiskey (59.9% abv); and 40-year-old Canadian whisky made from 100% corn (68.9% abv).
The finished product is said to have floral and fruity notes with spice from the rye whiskies, leading to spices and caramel on the finish.
Little Book Chapter 2: Noe Simple Task is bottled at 59.4% abv and has an RRP of US$99.99 per 750ml bottle.
Noe said: “For Little Book Chapter 2, I was inspired to work with the extra-aged Canadian whiskies I tasted while visiting our Canadian distilleries last year, but I knew I had my work cut out for me.
“The floral, fruit notes Canadian whiskies achieve really intrigued me, along with the ageing and production styles that are so different from what we do here in Kentucky.”
Little Book Chapter 2: Noe Simple Task follows the first whiskey released last year, called Little Book The Easy.
