Entries open for The Design & Packaging Masters 2018

As consumer demand for holistic brand experiences grows, The Spirits Business is gearing up to assess the aesthetics of the industry in its Design & Packaging Masters 2018.

The Design & Packaging Masters will assess the aesthetics of the industry

Sponsored by Amorim, the world’s largest manufacturer of bottle closures, the competition will see a panel of expert judges evaluate entries across a plethora of spirit categories.

While The Global Spirits Masters largely consists of blind-tasting competitions for different spirit categories, judges will put their nosing glasses to one side for this round and evaluate entries on the quality of their design and packaging alone.

Taking place in November this year, The Design & Packging Masters will award Master, Gold and Silver medals to deserving products. The Master winners will then be judged for the overall title of Spirits Design ‘Best in Class’ 2018.

The results will be published in the December edition of The Spirits Business and online that same month.

The competition’s sponsor, Amorim, produces more than five billion bottle closures a year and is a leading innovator in the creation of natural cork closures.

Top Series is the group’s specialised unit dedicated to the design, engineering and production of cork closures for some of the world’s most celebrated drinks brands.

Deadline for entries to The Design & Packaging Masters is 19 October.
