British Polo Gin launches sloe berry swap

UK-based British Polo Gin is asking imbibers to swap their fresh sloe berries for a bottle of the brand’s No. 2 Sloe expression.

The distillery, based in Gloucestershire, is collecting the berries as it prepares to begin production of its annual limited edition sloe gin release.

Gin fans are being invited to swap 5kg of fresh sloe berries for bottle of British Polo Gin No. 2 Sloe.

This is the second year that British Polo Gin has called on consumers to help collect a sufficient number of sloe berries to produce the expression.

The producer is offering to pick up sloe berry donations from collectors’ homes in Gloucestershire, England. Alternatively, collectors can take their sloe berries to The Fostons Ash Inn, near Stroud in Gloucestershire.

British Polo Gin No. 2 Sloe is bottled at 25% abv and carries an RRP of £39.99 (US$52) per 700ml bottle.
