Tony Conigliaro launches rose petal-flavoured vodka

Renowned drinks expert Tony Conigliaro has moved into vodka with the launch of a new expression, which has been distilled with pink rose petals.

Tony Conigliaro’s new Woltz’s Vodka is distilled with pink rose petals

Woltz’s Rose Petal Vodka is the first expression in a new range of flavoured vodkas that use English ingredients.

Conigliaro, who founded London cocktail bars 69 Colebrooke Row and Bar Termini, worked with his team at the east London-based Drink Factory lab to create the vodka.

The new bottling has been distilled with pink rose petals, resulting in a “soft floral” aroma, “clean, dry rose taste”, followed by a “peppery” finish.

It has been distilled using vacuum stills and uses pressure to extract the essence of the ingredients for a “more natural” expression.

Woltz’s Rose Petal Vodka is recommended served on the rocks or in a variety of cocktails such as a classic Champagne cocktail.

The renowned bar owner has been creating flavoured vodkas for his venues for almost a decade. The launch marks the first time that Conigliaro has made his vodkas available for purchase outside of his venues.

Woltz’s Vodka is the result of a collaboration between Conigliaro, brother and business partner Simon Conigliaro, drinks marketing specialists Stuart Ekins and Richard Herbert, and designer Adrian Fillary.

Fillary designed the red and black bottle design, which pays homage to cinematic periods.

Woltz’s Rose Petal Vodka will be distributed by UK drinks agency Cask Liquid Marketing.

In February 2016, Tony Conigliaro made his signature serve Classico Negroni available for sale online.

Last year, the Drink Factory founder opened a new Cognac-focused cocktail bar in France, marking his first international venture.
