Aer Rianta opens liquor store in Dublin Airport

Travel retailer Aer Rianta International (ARI) has opened the doors to its newest liquor store at The Loop in Terminal 2 of Dublin International Airport.

The Loop store covers 405sqm and features more than 160 products

The store is part of a multi-phased redevelopment of more than 2,000 square metres of retail space at the Irish airport.

The liquor store, which opened on 21 August, covers 405sqm and features a design inspired by speakeasy trends.

Paul Hunnisett, global head of liquor, said: “The new liquor store features the best of Irish and international products in a modern and captivating design.

“As an industry we must constantly innovate and differentiate our offering to compete and we feel that this new store sets a new standard in driving customer engagement.”

The Loop store includes more than 160 products and brands, including Campari, Chabot, Dead Rabbit Distillery, Penfolds and Beringer.

In its Irish Whiskey Collection, ARI has included a number of travel retail-exclusive products, including Teeling Collinstown 12-year-old and Jameson Double Charred.

The gin collection now boasts more than 80 international gins, including Silver Spear Gin and Beara Gin from Ireland, Scapegrace from New Zealand, and Edinburgh Gin and Bulldog Gin from the UK.

The store also features a new tasting bar, where travellers are able to sample a number of expressions from the store’s portfolio.

Martin Carpenter, general manager for ARI Ireland, said: “Delivering the best customer experience and a true sense of place has been the key objective of the T2 refurbishment project and this first phase with the opening of the new liquor store clearly delivers this.

“We are extremely proud of this addition to our store and looking forward to the next phase with the opening of our exciting new Beauty offering”

Digital innovation is also embedded throughout the store with screens and promotion areas delivering an interactive customer experience.
